Established as part of the NDC Partner Program, Lufthansa Group Airlines has launched a new website that is geared for travel agencies, corporate customers and travel technology providers in the UAE.
The website provides information on services that are beneficial to both sales partners and customers, along with bundled offers and exclusive content under the NDC Smart Offer. Additionally, the programme also offers user support for connected sales partners and training exercises.
Set to be launched across a number of markets worldwide, the website will be accessible both in English and German.
Commenting on the programme Dr Stefan Kreuzpaintner, Vice President Sales EMEA of the Lufthansa Group, shared: "We want to provide our local agents with the best possible solutions. The newly launched NDC Partner Program and its website is an important tool. A steadily increasing number of agents are already using and benefiting from NDC Smart Offer.”
Beginning from the 1 September and until the 31 of December 2018, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS will work to strengthen their NDC Smart Offer for flights travelling from Dubai to European destinations.
This is expected to result in increased savings beginning as low as AED 100 in Economy class and going as high as AED 500 for Business Class tickets. These offers are available exclusively through NDC-based distribution channels.
Launched by IATA, New Distribution Capability (NDC) is a travel industry support programme aimed at the development and market adoption of an XML-based data transmission standard (NDC Standard).
