UAE-based satellite operator Yahlive has signed a deal with See Africa Benin to welcome on board 42 new African channels (mostly French language), including 25 channels that are exclusive to the operator. With focus mainly on the UAE, Maghreb and KSA, the channels will be free-to-air till early 2019, followed by an introduction of Pay TV for exclusive channels.

The collaboration is intended to enhance the viewer experience for the African community and broaden the segment’s channel bouquet.

“Yahlive is excited to be spearheading the expansion of viewership within African households,” said Sami Boustany, CEO of Yahlive. “Bridging the gap and offering viable infotainment solutions has consistently been a part of our vision. Through this partnership, we hope to attract other broadcasters while also paying heed to our viewers’ needs.”

“Distributing our channels to the African diaspora in the GCC and other regions showcases Yahlive’s thorough understanding of the market, and its goal to fill in the gaps and give the African community a piece of home;” said Salifou ISSA, CEO of See Africa Benin.
