Omniyat Properties announced that its Zaha Hadid designed development, The Opus in Dubai, will be completed in mid-2017 during a preview tour at the building on Monday.
The mixed-use development will include residential, commercial and hospitality areas and will also be home to the region’s first ME by Meliá hotel.
The ‘hard hat tour’ for media and VIP guests included a sneak-peak of the new hotel’s lobby as well as a viewing of The Opus’ luxury residences, commercial office space, F&B, and nightclub.
Mahdi Amjad, executive chairman and CEO at Omniyat, said: “The Opus, scheduled for completion this summer, will be the next iconic building in Dubai’s cityscape, instantly recognisable for the organic void at its heart, and we have the late Dame Zaha Hadid to thank for its truly unique design.
“The Opus will be aligned with Omniyat’s vision of treating each project as if it were a unique work of art, showcasing once more that we are the pioneers of producing inimitable luxury lifestyle experiences.
“Seeing the work today gives me confidence that the finished project will meet all the highest expectations of our partners, our residential and commercial tenants and our future hotel guests.
The Opus is Omniyat’s second flagship unveil of 2017, following the upcoming completion of the $544m One Palm residential tower on Dubai’s The Palm.
Since its launch in 2005, Omniyat now has a development portfolio worth over $6.2bn, largely focused around Dubai’s Business Bay and Downtown communities.
Omniyat has several residential and hospitality projects in the pipeline over the next five years including The Pad, ANWA, Langham Place and The Sterling.
