Construction works are underway at a $2.7m (AED10m) dining, sports, and leisure facility in Nakheel’s Warsan Village villa community.
The UAE-headquartered master developer said in a statement that Warsan Village Club will feature a restaurant, fitness studios, a swimming pool, a children’s pool, a gym, a tennis court, and a car park.
The launch of Warsan Village Club brings the total of Nakheel’s collection of community recreation clubs to seven. The others are located in the developer’s Jebel Ali Village, Jumeirah Islands, Al Furjan, and Masakin Al Furjan communities. More are reportedly on the way at Jumeirah Village and Nad Al Sheba.
According to the company, the project, which is due to complete in 2019, is part of its $1.4bn (AED5bn) hospitality expansion programme.
Spanning 147ha, Warsan Village is a gated master community in Dubai that consists of 934 villas, which the developer completed in 2016. It is also features Warsan Souk, a retail and dining project that is valued at $326.7m.
The souk is fully leased and expected to open in 2019, Nakheel added.
