Dubai-founded FM company MAB FM is graduating into the next phase of business development as it looks to fortify diversified business interests.
The company’s founder and CEO Maen Saddeq told fmME that the firm is building standalone businesses for its support services – landscaping, pest control, firefighting systems, and security systems.
“These companies will need some time to mature, over the next five years to 10 years… When it comes to FM, it’s a still a relatively new field and the UAE is setting the benchmark with regards to quality, level of service and maturity of the sector,” he said.
Saddeq also says the willingness of UAE’s financial institutions to lend and be part of the FM sector’s growth is encouraging. “Financial institutions are willing to lend their hand to the cause and are relatively supportive of the sector. They understood the importance of the sector early on, and that is extremely important for the growth of FM.”
Saddeq founded MAB FM in late 2005 funding the operation himself. “With growth comes added investment, and it’s always a good feeling to know you have the backing of local financial institutions,” he added.
