Dubai's Jebel Ali School has appointed Peter Hill as the new principal, and Lizzie Robinson as the school's new head of primary.
Hill joins the not-for-profit school following the departure of Jacquie Parr, who served as headteacher at Jebel Ali Primary School and was promoted to principal of JAS after the school added a secondary phase in September 2016.
Hill has served as a senior leader in several schools, including as deputy head at the British School Muscat, where he had responsibility for establishing, developing and integrating a secondary school with the established primary section.
He then moved to the UK as principal of a sixth form college in Cambridge, before returning to Dubai as headmaster of Dubai College from 2010 to 2015. Most recently, he returned to Wales to work at the United World College movement at Atlantic College.
Hiill has been a member of the Headmaster's Conference and has had a long association with both British Schools Middle East and the Council of British International Schools.
Also joining the school is new head of primary Lizzie Robinson.
Robinson joins JAS from Jumeirah English Speaking School - Arabian Ranches where she served as deputy headteacher.
Robinson began her career in Wales, before moving to London to teach at primary schools in Westminster and later Richmond upon Thames as a special education needs coordinator and deputy headteacher.
She has also worked as a workforce development consultant for Richmond Local Authority and was involved in delivering conferences on workforce reform to headteachers and governing bodies.
