RIT Dubai organises 'UAE Innovation Summit MeltingPot2020'

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai recently organised 'UAE Innovation Summit MeltingPot2020' on May 3.

The summit was organised by India’s CL Educate and Kestone IMS in collaboration with HigherEducation.AE.

According to a press release, MeltingPot2020 Innovation Summit was an endeavour to create a platform to facilitate dialogue between innovation leaders from the corporate world and key decision makers from the education sector.

It was chaired by Ajay Shukla, co-founder and chief strategy officer at HigherEducation.AE.

It was recently annouced that RIT Dubai will receive a state-of-the-art new campus in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

According to a press statement issued by RIT, the new campus will feature an innovation and entrepreneurship center, and it will be developed in two phases.

The first phase is set to open in 2019, while the second phase is expected to open in 2023.

"The UAE government is funding the approximately US$136mn new campus which, upon completion, will span an area of more than 30 acres," the statement said.
